The Secondary Section is designed to prepare students for higher education and global opportunities. With 17 spacious classrooms, fully equipped Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and ICT laboratories, and a standard Music Room, the section provides an environment for both academic excellence and all-round development.

Our curriculum is enriched with Cambridge International accreditation, giving students access to internationally recognized programs such as IGCSE while also ensuring they excel in national examinations. This dual focus empowers our students to perform remarkably well in Cambridge Checkpoint, IGCSE, and national examinations, as well as to excel in debates, sports, arts, and other competitions both locally and internationally.

New World Emerald Private School operates a hybrid curriculum, comprising Cambridge syllabus, Nigeria National Curriculum, and the Montessori Curriculum.  To cover the requirements of this comprehensive hybrid curriculum effectively and judiciously, we cannot follow the terminal policy of schools which implement a single national curriculum. There is wisdom in equipping our students with a comprehensive hybrid curriculum, such as ours, which will enable our students to get admission into Cambridge “A” level program, (Age 16 – 18 years), Nigeria –Pre-degree programme (Age 16 – 18 years).

In summary, to ensure our students obtain good scores and maturity in their Secondary School external examinations namely, IGCSE, SAT, WASSCE, A/LEVEL, NWEP will register and present our students for the listed examinations in Grade 12, as it is in good practice schools who operate more than a single curriculum.

Students of NWEP will register for external examinations as follows:

1. Junior WASSCE- grade 9 (MAY / JUNE)
2. Cambridge Checkpoint- Grade 9 (APRIL/ MAY)

3.IGCSE (Core Maths & English as a Second Language) – 1st Term Grade 11 (OCT / NOV)

4.IGCSE – 1st Term Grade 12(OCT/ NOV)

5.WASSCE – 3rd Term Grade 12(MAY / JUNE)

6.P-SAT – 1st Term Grade  10 (OCT)

7.SAT-  Grade 12 (OCT)

8.A/ LEVEL (Commences September)
